Come On America!

Where's our backbone?
Where's our self respect?
What happened to our common sense understanding of right and wrong?
Where are the voices willing to say, "enough of this politically correct nonsense"?!
Where is our righteous and moral indignation?

Why are the voices so shrill and condemnatory when we finally draw a line in the sand and say, "enough is enough" to totalitarianism, terrorism, ancient and uncivilized behavior on the part of rogue regimes and states, oppression, and so many of their antecedents. Why do some fault us after winning the Cold War, with finally exerting our dominance to export FREEDOM? Democracy may not be the solution for people who are so crippled they can't think for themselves, but freedom is universal! Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld et. al. aren't perfect, but they're more right than wrong and thank God there are men and women willing to stand up for freedom, civilized behavior and willing to fight evil in all of its forms.

Why do we allow arrogant and hypocritical demagogues a free voice without challenge? I don't subscribe to the notion that Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama or Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid "hate this country". They simply believe that they are smarter, wiser and know better how this country should be run. But that's the problem! We have become so fat and complacent that we've allowed demagogues to seize power and the bully pulpit such that we shrug when polar bears are declared endangered, we don't do anything to arrest the harm being done by wacko environmentalists who have put our economy on the brink of catastrophe by preventing us from becoming energy self-sufficient, among other things, and we don't stand up in arms to protest the absurd violation of our democracy foisted upon us by the California Supreme Court yesterday, and so on...

The solution is LEADERSHIP BASED ON CORRECT PRINCIPLES. And inherent in that statement are many moving parts - unwavering and courageous conviction regarding the difference between good and evil, right and wrong...the ability to articulate lofty precepts, distill them into messages that can be understood by the most educated to the most simple-minded American, that can inspire, motivate and bring us together as a nation against the REAL enemies threatening this country (I include, by the way, so-called friends in cartels who have for all intents and purposes blackmailed us)....leadership that can slap the American people out of their lethargy and lengthen their attention spans such that highly complex matters can and will be discussed - not who was kicked off Idol the night before!

Give me the voice of Bill Buckley, of Dinesh D'Souza, of Newt Gingrich. Give me a New Contract with America and don't be apologetic about the principles. It's not that we need CHANGE! Since the 60's things HAVE changed. What we need is a return to fundamental traditional principles that will serve our country and its people today and tomorrow. And we shouldn't be bashful in defending why we SHOULD go back to those principles - it's what made our country great, our people prosper. The CHANGE we've already experienced and which liberals would love to see continue full tilt is precisely the change that has done a disservice to us: abandonment of self-reliance (and thus loss of self-respect) through deferral of decision making to the Nanny State; a narcissistic philosophy that says that individuals are the sole arbiters of right and wrong, clearly destructive to morality or traditional, civilized behavioral norms. THESE are the results of the change wrought by liberal precepts.

I'm reminded of the old adage, "If you don't know where you're going, any path will get you there." The acolytes of Obama, Clinton, Pelosi, Reid, etc. would have us follow any path so long as it gives them, in their warped, arrogant view, more power to "fix things".

I live in Chappaqua, New York which harbors, besides Bill and Hillary, many hypocritical (the rules don't apply to us), arrogant and elitist liberals who, because they are financially secure, can pontificate about how bad everything is, how everything is Bush's fault, but who have, many of them, never lifted a finger in the service of their country, or for others, for that matter. They know nothing of real sacrifice, of what it means to have to fight for good as the Greatest Generation did. They protest a war without any appreciation whatsoever of those brave enough to defend correct principles and combat evil. They have no core precepts - they truly represent the "ME" generation.

For my part, I'm now over the edge. Consider me "awake" and really angry that my country is being accosted by piss-ant dictators and lunatics, that my country is being increasingly led by glib-tongued, arrogant, elitist hypocrites with insatiable needs for dominance and power rather than by men and women of principle who will sacrifice their own gain for the benefit of their fellow citizens (did I read today somewhere that Bush's wealth has declined while in office??)

Come On John, you who are working hard at your job making real goods or rendering real services that benefit our society... do you really think Hillary Clinton with her $109 million dollars (and who, as I understand it, hasn't even held a drivers license for over 20 years) either understands what you go through, will really "fight for YOU!", or will help you by doing anything more than give you a token hand out, a subsidy or in some other way diminish your self-esteem even more? Do you really think that Barack Obama, (who could be the first "white" president, ironically,) with his schizophrenic black/white, highly non-traditional upbringing, foreign genes, frankly un-American name and incredibly naive understanding of this country's position in the world, understands what will help you better yourself and your family? Do you really want to entrust Congress to more of Pelosi and Reid? What have they done for you since regaining control? NOTHING! So, stop watching NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, and CNN... start reading again, think for yourself, and when you step into that booth in November and the union bosses can't see what you're doing, pull the lever that will return our country to its greatness, not propel us further down the slippery slope that sober voices have been describing and warning us about for the past 30 years.

Come on Lakisha, you who despite being ridiculed in school paid attention to your studies and went out and got yourself a job and became self-reliant and are trying hard to get ahead... do you really think Hillary Clinton cares about YOU? And while Obama may be black like you, has his life been ANYTHING like yours? Do you think HE really understands what you're going through? Do you think he'll really do anything to help you except temporarily make you feel better about yourself? Think again... Do you really want the company you work for to have its taxes raised so that it'll have to lay off people to keep expenses down, your job possibly going with it? Do you want your employer to be poor, or prosperous? Vote for Obama and jobs like yours will decline, not increase!

Come on Jose, you who've learned to speak a second language fluently, who've benefited from the opportunities this great country has to offer, who've raised a family in a way that you never could have raised it in your home country. Do you want a government that will create more opportunity by freeing businesses to grow and flourish with innovation and productivity, or do you want your employer to be more burdened with regulation, useless oversight and have its profits taxed away so it has no incentive to provide MORE opportunity for YOU. Vote for Obama, Clinton or a democrat in your congressional district and the latter is what you'll get.

Come On America! Let's band together and make this country great again.

I've got to get back to work, but I just had to rant for a while.
