We must build the fence!

First, I would like to thank the entire RedState community for all you do. I have paid a great deal of attention to the netroots in New Jersey because I understand that they represent such a core group of the conservative base.
I wanted to post a quick blog because I am running for Congress in New Jersey’s Third Congressional District (open Republican seat). I am running as a viable, conservative Republican.
I have represented about half of the District for the past 16 years as a county Freeholder. Furthermore, I have raised over $350,000 for the primary election (which is approximately what my primary opponent has raised) and this race is coming down to the wire!
We have seen what has happened to the Republican Party in the last three special elections. The Republican brand is broken and I intend on being one of the leaders in Congress that helps to bring it back.
While my opponent personally donated to one of the most liberal Democrats in the US Senate, Frank Lautenberg, just last year, I was working hard to help elect Republicans at all levels of government.

If that’s not reason enough to vote against someone in a Republican Primary this next statement is:
“Building solid walls is not the answer. . . . People will just dig under them.”
Just yesterday, my opponent was quoted in The Philadelphia Inquirer saying people will just dig under solid walls at the US-Mexican border.
Seriously.
Furthermore, my primary opponent (who is an executive at Lockheed Martin) instead favors using only technology to solve the problem at the border.
Who is one contractor developing that technology? You guessed it…Lockheed Martin. If that isn't a conflict of interest I don’t know what is.
Furthermore, if our Party continues to stray from core conservative principles we will continue to lose. Illegal immigration is such an important issue to the American people because it encompasses the economy and national security. To be so wrong on such a crucial issue is going to really hinder the Republican Party’s chances of holding the open seat come November.
If we want to hold onto New Jersey’s Third Congressional District we must elect a conservative Republican to take on the ultra-liberal John Adler in November.
I would encourage you to visit my web site www.KellyforCongress08.com and consider making a contribution. No matter how large or small, we will put it to good use. If you would like to get involved in any other way don’t hesitate to contact us at info@KellyforCongress08.com
Thanks for all that you do! Keep up the great work.
Jack Kelly

PS: Remember to visit my website and consider supporting the only real conservative that can keep NJ-03 in Republican hands.
