The "Do Nothing" Congress Gets Its Report Card

You know, I've never been much of a believer in polls. You ask 1,000 people a few questions, and the results are supposed to be indicative of how the rest of us 300 million slobs out here feel...I know it works in a statistics class, but it's a stretch for me. That said, I am BESIDE myself over this Rasmussen Report card that tells the tale of Harry and Nance's woes:

This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job.
[...]
The percentage of Democrats who give Congress positive ratings fell from 17% last month to 13% this month.
[...]
Among Republicans, 8% give Congress good or excellent ratings, up just a point from last month.
[...]
Voters not affiliated with either party are the most critical of Congressional performance. Just 3% of those voters give Congress positive ratings, down from 6% last month.

THIS poll seems to be on to something...capturing the essence of what MANY of us feel:

These guys suck.

Now, to be fair-Republicans and Democrats alike get to share the rapture of America's goodwill gone awry with their performance, but given who is in CONTROL of that train wreck up on the Hill, I'll take the one point improvement for the GOP as a sign that folks are coming around to seeing just WHO sucks least.

Funniest of all is Obama's notion that he can change all that as President if only MORE Democrats were in control...and those he needs most are the unaffiliated folks..and THEY think less of his pals in Washington than the REST of us. Boy howdy, but does this make for good theater.

What WAS that definition of insanity again?

Why in Heavens name do these same people believe electing more Democrats will solve the problem? This is their (Democrats) agenda and train wreck. Ah, there is always hope and more of the same, er, change.

More proof that we as a party do not communicate well across the GOP (which does by the way, have a very pretty website) with the voting public.

Yes, I know the MSM are a bunch of partisan suckups but the holistic media strategy needs to center on some leading, articulate Congressional voices who can counter that with facts and reason. Seems to me that most of that heavy lifting is being done somewhere else.

But anyway, who am I? Just some nameless person blogging under a pseudonym.

Was that too many mordacious comments in one post?
