Heh, Bill to Obama "Kiss my ***"

(h/t KLo over at NRO)

Seems that Bill is just a tad "bitter". From the UK Telegraph (full article):

The Telegraph has learned that the former president's rage is still so great that even loyal allies are shocked by his patronising attitude to Mr Obama, and believe that he risks damaging his own reputation by his intransigence.

A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton has revealed that he recently told friends Mr Obama could "kiss my ass" in return for his support.

A second source said that the former president has kept his distance because he still does not believe Mr Obama can win the election.

...

It has long been known that Mr Clinton is angry at the way his own reputation was tarnished during the primary battle when several of his comments were interpreted as racist.

But his lingering fury has shocked his friends. The Democrat told the Telegraph: "He's been angry for a while. But everyone thought he would get over it. He hasn't. I've spoken to a couple of people who he's been in contact with and he is mad as hell.

...

"Bill Clinton knows the party will unite behind Obama, but he is telling people he doesn't believe Obama can win round voting groups, especially working-class whites, in the swing states," the strategist said.

"He just doesn't think Obama will be able to connect with the voters he needs."

Update: Cut down to a more reasonable size per Moe's request. I kept some of the more snarky comments, just cause they are so much fun to read.

Let me give a personal comment though. I used to work in DC, and spent a couple months working on a project in the Old Executive Office building. During that time I met both Clinton and Gore. One thing I always say about Clinton is he is one of the best (if not THE best) pure politicians I've ever seen. He can walk into a room of 200 people and make each one of them think he is talking to each one individually. If Clinton thinks Obama can't win, then there is serious substance behind that statement. On this topic, he does actually know what he is talking about.

But can you break it down to about three, four paragraphs, and add a link to both the original Telegraph article and the NRO piece? If you need HTML help - not saying that you do - try http://www.redstate.com/blogs/neil_stevens/2007/aug/12/html_help_central .

Also, a bit of commentary on your reaction to this would be good. Mind you, vicious gloating is perfectly acceptable.

Sorry Moe by Dave in Fla

Still learning the ropes (and quite the HTML idiot).

"If they were merely incompetent, then at least SOME of their actions would have been to the benefit of the country."

They just linked to it without comment.

Everybody's got to start some time.

"In 2001, Clinton was honored as the nation's "first black president" at the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Annual Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C."

It's the little awards that Slick Willy loves and does not want to give up.

Gotta keep the hits coming!

When liberal Democrats like the Clintons get caught in their own race baiting, victimhood game, it's hard not to gloat.

Being hoisted with your own petard is never fun.
But as Shakespeare said - 'tis most sweet' for those watching.
